Her journey to success began in 2013 when she realized there was no hope of making it as a model in her home country or getting signed by an international modeling agency. She made a decision to take a 16-hour bus ride from her hometown to Nairobi, Kenya where the first season of Africa’s Next Top Model was holding casting calls. She made the cut and eventually went on to win the competition which included a contract with an international modeling agency, DNA Model Management based in New York City. This led her to relocate to New York City where her career officially kicked off. She walked on various runways during the Fall/Winter 2015 fashion week. Some of them were Marc by Marc Jacobs, J. Mendel, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, Lanvin and Giambattista Valli. For the ongoing Spring/Summer 2016 fashion week, she has walked for Marc Jacobs, Edun, Brandon Maxwell, Burberry Prorsum etc.
