There are so many fun, free and paid things to do in Montreal such as walking around Mount Royal Park, having the most glorious view of Montreal from Mount Royal Chalet, going to Old Montreal and taking a short cruise from Vieux Port etc.

Some of the things we did included taking almost an hour bus ride to Mount Royal Park where we spent another hour or two exploring the park and enjoying the best view of the city from Mount Royal Chalet. From there we made our way to Notre-Dame Basilica but unfortunately we spent all the cash we had on food so couldn’t pay for the tour and just hung outside. We also visited Jean Talon Market, which many refers to as the best farmer’s market in Montreal. You can taste fruits and vegetables before you buy them.

There were a lot of things on my “things to do in Montreal” list that we didn’t get to do. Four days were not enough to explore all that Montreal has to offer. But not to worry because we shall be back 🙂

If you’re planning a trip to Montreal, I recommend you check out some of the things on my to do list. I updated it with suggestions from our host and my good friend, Sandrine.
