Yuna Yang showcased her “The Lights in the Shadow” fall/winter 2017 collection on Saturday, February 11th at The Gotham Comedy Club. This collection shows that “light shines brighter in the darkness.” Yuna Yang is no doubt the epitome of today’s fashion Renaissance woman just as stated in her bio. This was my first time going to her show and I am just so glad that invite hit my inbox. It was a packed house so a lot of bloggers with RSVP invite were made to wait on the line for some minutes to give space to ticketed guests. But eventually they let us in and I even got one of the best seats in the house.
Yuna Yang celebrates women!
This collection is hands down one of my favorites at New York Fashion Week. I love femininity, I love romance, I love lace, I love floral print, I love to feel proud about being a woman. Yuna Yang gave me all of that in this collection. The collection is all about bold prints, velvet, trench coats, pleats, dark and light colors. Her fall/winter 2017 collection is a true definition of ready-to-wear. I can see myself in every single design. I love the perfect fabric mix of leather and lace. This collection perfectly explains what it means to be a woman. As women, we are tough when we need to be and soft when situation calls for it. Yuna Yang celebrates women who make their social and political voices heard. The runway show paid homage to women protesters in South Korea and the Women’s March in US.
