In a combined press release earlier today, Beyonce and Adidas announced their iconic partnership to re-launch Ivy Park. If you do recall, Ivy Park was first launched back in 2016 by Beyonce and Topshop’s owner, Phillip Green. Green was later bought out by Beyonce in 2018 following sexual harassment allegations against him.
With this re-launch and multi-layered partnership with Adidas, Ivy Park will include exciting new products ranging from performance to lifestyle, and a “unique purpose-driven program focused on empowering and enabling the next generation of athletes, creators and leaders.”
In the press release, Beyonce admitted this was a partnership of a lifetime for her. “Adidas has had tremendous success in pushing creative boundaries. We share a philosophy that puts creativity, growth and social responsibility at the forefront of business. I look forward to re-launching and expanding Ivy Park on a truly global scale with a proven, dynamic leader.”
Beyonce will continue to be the sole owner of Ivy Park and maintain her legacy as one of “the first black women to be the sole owner of an athleisure brand.”
