So, I had to create this section, Linda Reads to share with you all the books I’m reading or plan to read. I clearly played myself when I thought I could manage two blogs.

You guys probably didn’t know because I managed both blogs separately, but I had another blog called Linda’s Book Review strictly for reviewing the books I’ve read. My last book review was in August 2017, a month before my wedding. Sadly, I haven’t read for fun or to while away the time since then.

Year 2018 flew by without me even thinking of my love for books. I was just too busy trying to juggle married life, career etc. Then first half of 2019 also flew by but I was very occupied studying for a certification exam, which I took and passed. And here we are in second half and I rekindled my love for books.

Without further ado, here are the 6 books I hope to finish reading by end of 2019. I’m currently reading Minaret by Leila Aboulela and I absolutely love it so far. It is a story about a young girl from elite family in Sudan who escaped to London to start afresh after her family fell from grace to grass. This will be my second book by Leila Aboulela. My first book of hers was The Kindness of Enemies.

  • Minaret by Leila Aboulela
  • Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
  • My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinka Braithwaite
  • American Spy by Lauren Wilkinson
  • Kabu Kabu by Nnedi Okorafor
  • Nervous Conditions by Tsitsi Dangarembga
